MINUTES OF POULTON VICTORIA G.S. COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON

  2. Minutes from the meeting held on 7th December 2009

    The minutes of the meeting held on the 7th December 2009 were confirmed as a true record of proceedings.

     

  3. Committee members reports

    KE asked if AD knew the number of members who have entered the "optional" sweep for the winter league,

    AD Will contact all regular winter league players and confirm the numbers at next meeting

    PB reported that the society was in a good healthy financial position for the start of 2010 season

    PB + MP discussion about the honours board was still on the agenda and will be meeting up before the AGM with a definite structure on the new honours board.

    PB Is meeting with Frank Jablonski and having discussion with the parent club, about the possibility of making a single payment to the parent club regarding parent club membership for society members.

     

  4. Deferred from last meeting

    Proposed constitution amendment

    "It is incumbent upon every member, without exclusion to ensure that their score cards are presented into the draw complete with a paid up receipt validated for the day, securely attached, else they obtain identifiable and traceable endorsements, from two members of the committee, one of which must be either the Chairman , Secretary or the Treasurer."

    was agreed by the committee, and all members will be informed prior AGM as per the society constitution.

     

  5. AGM Details

    AD will draft a letter for all members to inform of the date, agenda and of the committee position nomination,

    It was also agreed to place a notice on the board at Arrowe Park

  6. Confirmation of next meeting: 1st February 2010

  7. Any Other Business

Date for the annual presentation has been set for 19th November 2010 yet to be confirmed by the parent club

AD suggested  the handicap secretary should form a handicap committee, by co-opting members to help; this would alleviate some of the pressure that was imposed on him last season

AD will contact Dave Wilson regarding Vice Capt 2010 season
