Stableford or Matchplay?

Please inform a member of the organising committee which Winter League

you would like to commit to.

Matchplay League

The Matchplay play league is for the more committed winter players. Depending on subscription, players will play each other once over the winter programme.

Points awarded are, 3 for a win and 1 for a half.

If 2 players have the same number of points at the end of the league, the player with the highest aggregate of holes won, will be determined the winner.

Although this is a Matchplay league there will be a sweep [optional] on the day.  

Prize money from the club - 1st place £20.00 / 2nd place £10.00 Entry is FREE to all members, with an optional £5.00 to boost the prize money.

Note: If for some reason you cannot make the following week, please inform a member of the committee.

Stableford League

The winter Stableford League will suit the players who cannot commit to a full winter programme. The Best 7 stableford cards over the winter programme will determine the Winter Stableford League winner.  If tied prize monies will be split.

Prize money from the club - 1st place £20.00 / 2nd place £10.00

Entry is FREE to all members, with an optional £5.00 to boost the prize money.

Local Rules Winter

Preferred lies fairway only

After making your ball you may clean and place your ball within 6 inches of mark, no nearer the hole.

Bunkers

You may lift your ball [not clean], rake and then place no nearer the hole without penalty.

Plugged Ball in Rough

You may lift and drop [not clean] no nearer the hole without penalty

Lost ball on Fairway

If a players ball cannot be found, after being agreed within the fourball that his ball landed on the fairway.ie plugged or lost in leaves he may drop, then mark, clean and place  a ball at a point agreed with his playing partners, without penalty.

Handicap allowance

7/8 of you Summer handicap - playing off the Yellow tees
